 | We offer internships year round and require a minimum commitment of 3 months.
Interns
are exposed to every facet of the agency business, from screening
incoming queries to managing correspondence. They have the opportunity
to partecipate in moving manuscripts and books through the process from
queries to publication and to learn about the publishing industry
first-hand. The job includes reading manuscripts, preparing submisson
letters, placing calls and tracking submissions made to publishers.
Interns
work part-time at a minimum of 20 hours per week. The internships are
unpaid and interns may set up their own schedules with the internship
coordinator to accomodate another job or a class schedule. |
Requirements
The
ideal candidate is a student, fluent in English and in another European
language, PC literate, web savy, willing to learn, highly committed,
organized and detail-oriented. A fast reader, he/she possesses both a
keen appreciation for literary work as well as for popular fiction and
non-fiction, and a sense for the commercial possibilities of material.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills complete the profile.
Experience in critical reading, publishing, writing, or editorial
experience are a plus. |  |
