DESCRIPTION:
An emotional and at times funny book about a child that questions his parents about his doubts and fears and the parents that look for the right answer to give.
Each left page shows the child imagining itself in a difficult situation and asking parents how they would help in case. For example: lying sick in bed or being afraid to swim.
Each right page shows the parents' response at the rescue of their child, whether dressed as doctors or as instructors teaching it to swim….
The parents' reassuring answer in any event is: "We will always be there for you" and the image shows their solution.
But what if the child does not behave? On those events, too the parents are shown serene and energetic as they warn that there may be consequences.
This because setting limits is important for children.
The last four pages show a child who is growing up and eventually asks about his parents' relationship with it as an adult.
The parents answer that even then they will be there for it and the child answers that it will be there for them, too.
This book is sort of an oath of allegiance from parents to their child. It increases the child’s sense of internal security and his trust in his parents.
REVIEWS:
"This is a book that I would recommend to all parents with children who are afraid of abandonment. Honestly, it brought tears to my eyes very quickly, I enjoyed it very much and found it very touching." _ La Petite Maitresse Geek
